Looking for the entire catalog of knowledge test questions (650+) in a format that can be keyword searched (.pdf, .txt, etc.).
I've found several links (even on FAA website) but all end up broken.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Well, this one works:
http://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/test_questions/media/pvt.pdf
and this one:
http://www.air.flyingway.com/faa_exam/test/pvt_written_exam.htm

Thanks Dan, but neither of those are from the glider bank, but rather the private pilot bank. While there is quite a bit of overlap between those two, there is also significant differences.
Still searching.

Last year I asked for a 700 +/- question long test from one of the on line testing services, then I cut and pasted from the browser window to notepad to produce a text file of the entire question bank. Quite easy.
A text file is searchable. I don't have the file and I don't remember the source.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I did purchase the Dauntless (checkride.com) software and while it contains the entire question bank, it will not output the questions in any searchable format.

This is where I scrapped the entire glider question set
http://www.exams4pilots.org/
Got 98% on the exam.

Thanks for that. That is EXACTLY what I wanted except for the fact that it only has about 75% of the question pool (~480 out of ~660 questions).
Still searching for a complete (or at least nearly complete) set.
Thanks

Also take a look at webexams.com.
Some we have used at CISS
http://exams4pilots.org/faatest.cgi?m=2
http://www.webexams.com
http://preparetotest.com (not free)
Not sure if these meet your criteria

Thanks, found that earlier but no glider bank that I can find.

Thanks, but still haven't found a full 650+ set. I wish my Dauntless software had a way to export their question bank to something searchable but sadly it can't.
So far the best I've found searchable is about 75% complete.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.

The first page of the site says:
Several people are slamming the server with automated queries in
order to extract all the test questions from the site. This is
causing my hosting company to throttle my server, and is adversely
affecting all the users. Please stop it!
I used them for practice exams for Commercial Glider. They kept throwing
in questions that looked like they were from Airplane (powered) exams. I
doubt that the performance and fuel consumption questions had much to do with
gliders.
On the other hand, some of the instrument ones (on VORs) did appear on
the actual test, but I expect that some of the other ones were from the
instrument airplane or the commercial airplane written.
I wrote the site owner, and never got a reply.

I don't think that the site owner was complaining about me because it takes very little time to generate a test that includes all of the questions.
It's there...click on private pilot and the glider.

A couple of observations:
1. If you can get 75% of the questions and know them cold, and I mean
understand the question and the answer, you'll pass the test.
2. Right or wrong, you'll find airplane-appropriate questions on the glider
exam. Ask an airplane pilot to explain the answer to you, you'll appreciate
the added knowledge.

I now have an RTF file with all ~675 questions and answers in the glider knowledge test pool. I wish I could attach such a file to this post but there doesn't seem to be a way to do such.
Let me know if anyone wants said file and I'll figure out the best way to get it to you.
Thanks for all the suggestions

Why not upload the file to DropBox or one of the other cloud storage services so anybody can get access to it.
